Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Foot Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols in assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and unusual activity with calm professionalism. You will document observations, support access control, and provide standout customer service through clear communication. Allied Universal values integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable approach. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license.
Requirements
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Possess a Corrections Officer License.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the financial services location, including interior areas, entrances, drive lanes, and perimeter zones, documenting observations per site requirements.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support with site leadership and local emergency services when appropriate.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and vendor activity, and maintaining required logs and reports.
- Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and other security-related systems, report maintenance issues, and complete timely incident reports and shift activity documentation.
