About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Gate Officer in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security incidents. You will document and communicate observations, respond to resident and visitor concerns with professionalism, and support access control and patrol operations. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset as you help maintain a secure, welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree in Criminal Justice.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An guard card license.
• Graduate of Public Safety Academy.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential community, including amenity areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or hazards.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite staff and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Perform security-related access management at gates and/or entry points by verifying authorization, monitoring visitor logs, and assisting with traffic flow during peak periods.
• Complete timely security-related reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to supervisors and/or the client representative, and assist with investigations when requested.
