About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Response Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help reduce security-related incidents through routine rounds and timely reporting. You will manage access points and respond to situations with calm communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 5+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control processes, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate to appropriate contacts as needed.
  • Control entry by verifying identification and authorization, managing visitor processing, and coordinating with client representatives regarding restricted areas and after-hours access.
  • Complete detailed written reports and incident documentation, preserve scene information when required, and follow Allied Universal and site guidelines for firearms handling, post orders, and required communications.
