Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and unusual activity. You will build trust through clear communication and customer service while documenting observations and supporting the care environment with integrity, teamwork, and reliability. This post requires a valid armed guard card and/or license.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or following post orders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access points by monitoring entry and exit, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors and/or vendors in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete security-related documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership.
