As a Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to resident concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and an armed guard card or license is required. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor and/or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate party.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and/or direction until additional resources arrive.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, including documenting observations and communicating updates to site leadership.
