As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related policies.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; report unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications and assist with emergency response activities as directed.
  • Control entry and movement through checkpoints as assigned, including verifying identification and authorizations, monitoring visitor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Document security-related incidents, patrol findings, and daily activities in written reports and/or electronic systems; communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
