You will monitor assigned areas, manage access control and badge activity, respond to incidents, and document security-related observations with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security experience.
Have an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Screen individuals and vehicles as required, verify identification and authorization, and maintain visitor logs and/or access records in accordance with post orders.
Complete security-related reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post requirements.
