Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, document observations, support access control, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This post requires an armed guard card/license and reflects our agile, reliable, innovative culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Security Experience ‐ 2+ Years is required.
• Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and check identification, credentials, and/or visitor logs in accordance with post orders and local requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, calling for medical support and/or law enforcement, and following established response protocols.
• Complete accurate reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as required.
