About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Commander in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 3 or more years of experience as military police, a corrections officer, or in an armed security-related role, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorized entry when required, and documenting security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities.
  • Support site operations by following post orders, assisting with directional guidance, and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
