As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed post requiring the appropriate armed guard card. Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating confrontations and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify authorized access to back-of-house areas, and assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious behavior.
Complete reports and logs for incidents, patrol activity, and notable observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
