As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service calls, document activity, and support store teams and guests with clear, respectful communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification, backed by Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

Be 21+ Years of Age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Have Level III Armed Certification Texas Only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, associates, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances, loading areas, and parking lots to help to deter suspicious activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with local law enforcement and/or management, and direction of foot traffic as needed.
Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, applicable licensing, and use of force guidelines, including weapon retention practices and secure handling.
Document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
