Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining a visible armed presence that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related issues and response needs.
