About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, hazards, and/or policy violations; document observations and report concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and local emergency resources as needed.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing visitors and/or vendors according to site procedures.
  • Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements, complete security-related reports and incident documentation, and communicate clearly via radio, phone, and/or written logs.
