About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol/Post Full-Time in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a strong visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will document observations, support associates and visitors with professional customer service, and communicate clearly with your team. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile, people-first approach every shift.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and instructions, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Perform armed patrol duties throughout the location, including sales floor, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors, and delivery personnel, and directing traffic flow during busy periods.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and fire or alarm activations, and request additional assistance when needed.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate with site leadership and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns and/or operational issues.
