About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol, Security Clearance in Riviera Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities appropriate for an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns, with working conditions that may vary by post assignment.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas by checking identification, processing visitors, verifying authorizations, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in locations in accordance with site rules.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving alarms and calls for service, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as directed, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, including patrol activity, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives per post orders.
