You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. You will also assist riders and staff with directions and customer concerns while documenting security-related activity. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security or Certified Law Enforcement Graduate experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation facilities and/or properties.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Monitor access points and conduct security-related screenings, checks, and observations to help to deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized entry.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
