Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control and visitor screening as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Carry authorized duty equipment in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines, and report incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations through proper channels.
  • Support students, staff, and visitors by monitoring assigned areas, helping to de-escalate conflicts when appropriate, and coordinating with school administration and/or first responders when needed.
