As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. You will document activities, support incident response, and work closely with site partners to help maintain order. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points, identify unusual or suspicious conditions, and address policy violations through verbal direction, de-escalation and/or requesting appropriate assistance.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, trespassing and/or traffic or pedestrian hazards.
  • Document and report patrol activity, incidents, hazards and maintenance concerns, and coordinate with site leadership and public agency personnel as directed.
