As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and requests for assistance, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements

• Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be 21+ Years of Age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to Lift More Than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response protocols at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with supervisors and public agencies as needed.
• Control entry and exit at designated points, verify identification and/or authorization, and monitor restricted areas in accordance with post orders.
• Complete detailed written reports, logs, and incident documentation, and maintain required armed post qualifications, equipment checks, and compliance with Allied Universal policies.
