As an armed patrol officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will engage with shoppers and store teams, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations and reports. Requirements

• A valid armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales floors, parking areas, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with medical calls as trained, and coordinating with law enforcement and/or management when needed.
• Monitor access points, receive and screen deliveries and vendors as required by post orders, and help to reduce unauthorized entry and/or theft-related activity through presence and observation.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate noteworthy information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and maintain required armed post qualifications and equipment in accordance with policy.
