As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, traffic-related events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials, observing activity, and following post orders related to government operations and public access.
  • Maintain readiness for an armed post by following all Allied Universal policies, post instructions, and training requirements for equipment, reporting, and use of force response guidelines.
