As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a professional property environment, completing routine rounds, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and responding to situations with calm, clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have 1+ years’ armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Carry and handle an authorized firearm and related equipment in compliance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Control access as assigned by checking identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, and communicating issues to site contacts and/or responding personnel.
