About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Williamsburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents while supporting guests and staff with outstanding customer service. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and/or resort location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or fire alarms, and communicate status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, lobbies, parking areas, service corridors, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials when required, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with deliveries and vendor check-ins per site procedures.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports, document incidents and observations, and report maintenance hazards or suspicious conditions to appropriate personnel.
