You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at a government location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and control entry and exit in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Prepare clear incident reports and patrol logs, communicate noteworthy activity to supervision and/or site representatives, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with policy.
