About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Lillington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, grounds, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with processing entries, exits, and deliveries per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site staff and/or public agency partners as needed.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, preserve observations and evidence when applicable, and communicate significant activity to supervision and site representatives.
