As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, professional communication. This is a driving and armed post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach. Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III armed certification is required for Texas only.
• A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail setting.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of sales floors, common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordination with site leadership and/or public responders when needed.
• Monitor entrances and high-traffic areas, verify access where required, and observe for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity.
• Document shift activity, patrol observations, and incident details in written reports, and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client representative.
