Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Route Driver in Sunrise, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct mobile and foot patrols, perform access control and badge checks, and document security-related activity with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, monitoring for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintain control of keys and/or access credentials as directed, and document access activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when required and completing security-related reports.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and radio communications, and communicate observations to site leadership per established protocols.
