About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Rover Driver in Troy, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will carry out armed duties with integrity through teamwork in a caring, agile culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out armed post duties, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, radio communication, and coordination with on-site staff and/or responding agencies.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations in a government location.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification, checking authorized entry lists as applicable, processing visitors and contractors, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and report hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate chain of command.
