As an unarmed patrol officer at a cutting-edge aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and deliver helpful customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 6 months+ armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and established security-related procedures, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, launch support areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards for correction.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, managing visitor processing, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and local responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and shift activities, including accurate log entries and timely communication of security-related information to supervision and site contacts.
