About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Transit Rover in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a public transit location, you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. You will support employees and visitors through strong communication and customer service, while documenting observations and activities. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or armed guard license.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Baton permit preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle, including public areas, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Maintain a visible armed presence in accordance with post orders and all applicable laws, handling and/or carrying firearms and related equipment in a professional manner.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site staff and/or local public service partners as directed.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate pertinent information to supervision and/or dispatch using radios, phones, and/or other approved systems.
