Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol in Las Vegas, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will write clear reports, support staff and visitors with strong customer service, and communicate professionally with local partners as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access expectations, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government library location.
• Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal guidelines, maintaining proper control and accountability of assigned equipment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of library buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones, monitoring for suspicious activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Complete timely reports and logs such as incident reports, activity summaries, and shift documentation, and communicate notable events to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
