Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Salem, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to issues as they arise, document observations, and deliver strong customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a government transportation location by carrying out armed, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, road or yard perimeters, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, logging visitors and/or deliveries, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate destinations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken according to site requirements.
• Communicate with Allied Universal supervision, site contacts, and/or local public responders as needed to support incident response and routine operations.
