As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and communications location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will document observations, support access control practices, and deliver customer-focused communication while working as part of a reliable, agile team that leads with integrity and a caring culture. Armed Guard Card or license required.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have a current armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures for a technology-focused location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable licensing requirements, and site procedures, including proper handling and secure storage as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing timely notifications, detailed reports, and evidence preservation consistent with site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout interior areas, building entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and supporting screening and/or badging processes as required by site procedures.
