You will patrol on foot and/or by vehicle, complete routine rounds, watch for unusual activity, assist with access points, and document observations using a computer or tablet. Your visible presence and strong customer service help to deter security-related issues while you communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet; experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, vendors and/or visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies and/or post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking lots, loading docks and/or perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points and alarms, assist with visitor check-in and badge/credential verification, and/or help manage deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities and notifications as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, hazards and/or maintenance issues in written reports and electronic logs, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
