About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Check Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and partner with site teams to address day-to-day needs. Requirements

• 1+ years of security experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Loss Prevention is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and/or staff by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail areas, corridors, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and assist with queue management and/or loss-prevention support as directed by site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate key observations to on-site management and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support customer requests such as directions and tenant assistance.
