Job Description As a Security Officer - Badge Checkpoint in Greenwood, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and/or badging, and verify credentials to support security-related site procedures. You will conduct routine patrols as assigned, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, guests, and site leaders. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen and process employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification and credentials, issuing visitor access as directed, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in points.
  • Support access control operations by monitoring entry and exit points, observing for unusual activity, and communicating concerns to site leadership to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, including observation of doors, loading areas, and other access points, with working conditions that may vary by site.
