Job Description As a Security Officer - Badge Desk Driver in Beaumont, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badging and visitor processing, and conduct routine patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence, communicating clearly with employees, contractors, and guests while supporting site procedures with integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Staff access points and gatehouses to verify credentials, manage visitor check-in and check-out, issue temporary badges as directed, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian entry using approved screening methods, conduct visual inspections of vehicles, packages, and deliveries as authorized, and coordinate with site contacts for entry approvals.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, staging zones, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and report maintenance or operational concerns through the proper channels.
