Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors and/or contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies and emergency response procedures at a commercial property.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, loading areas and parking areas, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity by verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, service calls and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as needed and providing clear direction to occupants.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations and maintenance concerns to site representatives, and use security-related systems such as radios, cameras and access control as assigned.
