About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in San Bruno, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming atmosphere through strong customer service, clear communication, and a caring, team-oriented approach grounded in integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, posted policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations according to Allied Universal and location guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual activity involving customers, merchandise, and restricted areas, and communicate with location management when needed.
Assist with access control, closing procedures, and/or crowd and foot traffic monitoring during busy periods, special events, or emergency situations.
