As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen people and vehicles, and maintain a strong visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document activity, communicate clearly with associates and visitors, and support smooth operations through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
- Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, vehicles, and deliveries at entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing traffic flow to support orderly access.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and screening areas for unusual activity, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and completing detailed reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter points, noting hazards and/or suspicious conditions and escalating as needed.
