About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide a strong customer service presence while using teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable approach to support daily operations at the location.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs per site policy.
  • Prepare clear written reports of daily activities, patrol observations, and incidents, and communicate key information during shift handoff.
