As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a college location, you will monitor and patrol campus buildings and grounds, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet students, faculty, and visitors with helpful customer service, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and interior/exterior activity, report suspicious behavior, and complete security-related logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating notifications, and/or supporting evacuations, lockdowns, and shelter-in-place actions as directed.
• Provide direction and assistance to patrons, support policy compliance, and coordinate with campus personnel and/or public responders as needed.
