As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control and badging as needed, and provide clear, professional customer service. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity; report concerns through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public agency partners as directed.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs and reports, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
