About The Position

As a Security Officer - Community Patrol Driver in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic construction location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company approved vehicle as needed to support site coverage. You will communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, deliver strong customer service, and act with integrity as part of a reliable, caring, and innovative team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor identification and/or authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery logs per site requirements.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident documentation, and notify Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts of unusual conditions.
