As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy hotel location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas and back-of-house spaces, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and staff with directions, questions, and quick communication while documenting observations using site tools. Requirements
- A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel setting.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with guest concerns, disturbances, and medical situations as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, lobbies, hallways, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access as assigned by checking credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing guests and deliveries to appropriate locations.
- Complete required reports and documentation, communicate observations to site management and/or public responders when needed, and monitor cameras and alarms when assigned.
