As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech campus, office building and/or logistics location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols around the building, work areas, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic by observing entry and exit activity, providing directions, and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
  • Complete routine reporting and incident logs, promptly escalating maintenance issues, hazards and/or policy violations to the appropriate site representative.
