Security Officer - Concierge
About The Position
As a Security Officer Reception Desk in Hillsboro, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements
- A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
- Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or visitor records, and help to deter unauthorized entry through established access control practices.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Answer phones, greet guests, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate front desk logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.
- Support a professional presence in a manufacturing and industrial location by observing activity at the entrance area and reporting unusual, suspicious, and/or policy-related concerns.
