As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate conference and event location, you will make routine rounds across common areas, entrances, and parking areas, helping to spot and report security-related concerns while maintaining a visible presence. You will greet guests, assist with directions, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team.

Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, vendors, and/or event attendees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, conference and meeting areas, parking areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders as required.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and help manage visitor flow during conferences and high-traffic periods.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers.
