As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will focus on access control by welcoming associates and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and managing entry points to help support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong communication and customer service while working with an agile, reliable team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a manufacturing and industrial location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing guests to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized entry attempts, and/or policy violations; communicate observations per site protocol.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying appropriate contacts, and supporting first responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help identify hazards, unsecured doors, and/or abnormal conditions; complete required reports.
