About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Controlled Entry in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community where you will manage access control, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will remain highly visible, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with a customer-first approach rooted in integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post and requires a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• Possess a guard card.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Monitor and help control access at community entrances and/or access points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor passes as required, and directing traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, medical situations, and/or property concerns, while following post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, amenities, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors or gates, and/or maintenance concerns, and report findings.
• Complete security-related reports and logs such as visitor entries, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate timely updates to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
